"This is our responsibility: we have a duty to teach the children a sense of justice and compassion."

- AungSan Suukyi, 1991 Nobel Peace Prize Recipient.

The Florida Law Related Education Association, Inc. (FLREA) is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 civic education organization. FLREA was established in 1984 to improve justice and expand education for democracy through the development and implementation of law related education programs for Florida youth.

The Florida Law Related Education Association, Inc. is dedicated to improving the administration of justice and strengthening democracy through practical, hands-on law related and civic education programs for students.

What distinguishes FLREA is a grassroots, law-focused, nonpartisan approach and efforts targeted at the teachers and students of Florida. FLREA puts an emphasis on the rule of law, the American legal system, and the institutions and practices of democracy. Programs highlight civic content and methodologies to foster essential critical thinking skills, teaching students how to think, not what to think.
